Hi, and welcome to my website!

I have gathered chess tactics from people around the world, and I am excited to share them with you! The puzzles come from members of different National Youth Chess Teams, as well as from international masters and grandmasters. The purpose of my website is to provide you with a collection of tactics gathered from varying cultures and to give you new ideas and strategies!

Pawn

Loyal, rebellious, and fearless

The game of chess is a lot like life,
If you mess up, you'll pay the price.
And you don’t always know your next move,
So try to find ways for your position to improve.

Rook

Straightforward, imposing,
and protective

Chess is a game of logic, intuition,
Discipline, passion, and ambition.
It teaches you to be calm and creative,
Not to say, strategic and innovative.

Knight

Tough, violent, and confrontational

You sacrifice a piece for something much bigger,
And a sacrifice will cause events to trigger.
Or you think deeply about all the choices
While listening to your mind’s inner voices.

Bishop

Cunning, sly,
and a corrupt out-of-the-box thinker

Although chess is a serious game,
It’s very interesting and is never the same,
You can play for six hours and that's really tough,
But on the bright side,
it will make your brain buff.

Queen

Talented, highly intelligent,
and frightfully arrogant

You can choose any opening that you admire-
Preferably one that you will desire.
The Ruy Lopez, the Sicilian,
The Hippopotamus, or Scandinavian.

King

Regal, careful, and the greatest
liability on the board

If you are ever in a bad situation,
Never give up - just stay patient.
You never know when tactics will arise,
So solve them, and use tactics as an exercise!

My name is Simona Nayberg, and I have been playing chess for over a decade. Solving tactics has been one of my favorite parts of chess, and I hope that after solving all the puzzles, you will like them as much as I do! Over the last ten years, I have gotten to travel the world as a member of the National Chess Team. Some of my achievements include:

-Four-time winner of the Northern California Girls' State Chess Championships;

-Participating at three World Youth Chess Championships in Halkidiki, Greece, Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, and Montevideo, Uruguay;

-Placing 21st at the World Youth Chess Championship in Montevideo, Uruguay;

-Getting 1st place in the girls under-18 section at the World Maccabiah Games in Israel, and 5th place overall;

-Winner of the Susan Polgar's National Open for Boys and Girls;

-Winner of the North American All-Girls Championship.
